July 22, 2022

Pyramid Network Services, LLC, a privately held and nationwide telecommunications development company, announced its new partnership with the state of Michigan.  Beginning in August 2022, Pyramid will serve as the colocation management company for all existing state-owned towers, buildings, and properties, in addition to new tower builds on state-owned property and new CBRS and DAS installs. Pyramid will maintain the state’s interests and ensure that tenant timelines are met during the colocation process.

“Our colocation team is excited about the chance to continue working with the state of Michigan on their telecommunications systems and look forward to working with any potential colocators or MiDEAL members on opportunities,” said Mark Zagger, Vice President Operations-Commercial Wireless Division for Pyramid.

Pyramid, established in 1996, provides project management, site construction, site acquisition, colocation, program development and full turnkey site solution services to a broad range of telecommunications clients. The company’s client portfolio includes governmental and state agencies, commercial carriers, tower companies, security companies, educational institutions, municipalities, landowners and other private organizations.

“At Pyramid, our Colocation Division is a high priority, and our dedicated team is focused on applicant timelines and providing a very efficient process to meet customer timelines,” said Mark Zagger. “We look forward to working with all potential tenants on colocation interest for the State of Michigan properties and will ensure a reliable experience for both the State and future tenants.” Pyramid’s expertise in processing colocations paired with its extensive industry experience will provide a dependable collocation management company for the State.

Cy Weichert, Pyramid’s Founder and President, sees this partnership as a tremendous opportunity for improvement in communications across the state of Michigan. “We’ve worked in Michigan for nearly 20 years providing services to wireless carriers as well as public safety communications, and we’re intimately familiar with the wireless landscape.  Our knowledge and expertise coupled with a vast array of State owned tower sites, right of ways for new site development, and other state owned facilities will provide a tremendous amount of access and opportunities for new coverage and capacity, and new ways of bridging the digital divide in unserved and underserved areas of Michigan.”
