CBRS & DAS

the future of wireless is here

What is DAS?

DAS, or Distributed Antenna System, is a system of nodes or antennas that are tied together to 1 Base Station or Headend.

DAS provides better coverage of a multitude of frequencies/carriers without having the major impact of building a cell tower. DAS can be customized for many situations whether it be indoor (iDAS) or outdoor (oDAS).

Indoor Das

vs.

outdoor das?

Indoor DAS is installed installed in sports stadiums, malls, hospitals, courthouses and airports.

Outdoor DAS is installed at outdoor amphitheaters, university campuses, mountain lodges, and outdoor city centers.

Longevity & Location

DAS systems are considerably smaller than traditional cell tower counterparts, making them much better options for congested, high-volume locations. In addition to taking up less space than traditional cell towers, DAS networks tend to provide better network coverage as well.

Our DAS Offerings

  • Planning & Design

Custom designs based on client requirements, certified in multiple DAS OEMs.

  • Consultation

Guidance for indoor (iDAS) and outdoor (oDAS) systems, leveraging relationships with various equipment manufacturers for flexible pricing.

  • Construction

Management services ensuring installations meet all codes, focusing on AC-DC power, fiber-Ethernet, RF cabling, and compliance with fire and RF limits.

  • Maintenance

Remote management of systems with daily checks and monthly reports, along with on-site inspections and repairs by qualified personnel.

What is CBRS?

Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) refers to 3550-3700 MHz that is available for shared public use.

Shared public use- CBRS was previously only used by the military before 2016. The military only use this part of spectrum sparingly. The FCC after 2016 allowed this part of the spectrum to be utilized for private use to help with the increasing demand for cell phone/data coverage.

Why CBRS?

CBRS excels over Wi-Fi and carrier specific LTE in many ways. When compared to Wi-Fi, CBRS has on average 4-times better coverage indoors and 9-times better outdoors. CBRS also provides a much more secure and reliable connection to devices. Also, when compared to traditional carrier specific deployed DAS, CBRS is a much more cost-effective solution..

Longevity of cbrs

Unlike other legacy cell phone equipment, CBRS relies heavily on a software infrastructure. Utilizing this any changes/updates that are needed are performed remotely through software updates, instead of hardware replacements.
